Frequently asked questions

Absolutely! To ensure the enjoyment of everyone on the live tour, your tour guide will set times throughout the tour to take questions. You have the option to submit questions and comments via chat text to your guide, and you can notify your guide that you would like to use audio to speak or ask a question. Your guide will enable your mic so you can converse; we limit the audio to one visitor at a time, to ensure a quality experience for everyone.

Tours may be canceled or rescheduled due to inclement weather, health concerns, and other unforeseen or uncontrollable situations. In the case that your tour has been canceled or rescheduled, you will receive a full credit enabling you to join another tour or the rescheduled tour.

If for some reason you miss the start time of your tour, you will still be able to connect while the tour is ongoing. Similar to the purchase of tickets to other live events, if you miss your reservation, we are unable to refund your purchase.

We carefully choose our guides to ensure they are passionate, experienced specialists. Each guide goes through a rigorous screening and assessment and must demonstrate not only expertise in their location and subject matter, but the ability to present engaging, informative, and delightful tours. Our guides receive equipment, ongoing support, and coaching. This, coupled with customer feedback and reviews, inspires our team of guides to continuously improve and innovate, bringing you exceptional tours and quality experiences. Each of our guides has their own Hop A Tour Guide page where you can learn more about his or her background and experience.

Our tours are livestream experiences, so there is no way to pause the tour; it's real life, in real-time. Your purchase does not include a recording of the tour. Recording the tour is a violation of our Terms of Use, and redistribution of such material is a criminal offense and may contravene privacy laws. Violation of these terms will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.

Only the video being live-streamed by the tour guide is visible. You cannot be viewed by the tour guide, and you will not be able to view other tour participants and they cannot view you.

You can watch the tour on any device you use for streaming: your laptop, tablet, computer, and smartphone. We support all major browsers. A stable internet connection is required for an uninterrupted experience.
